The Atlanta Federal Executive Board cordially invites you to participate in panel discussion for federal employees based on ”Working with your Congressional Team”. As a participant we are asking that you share various initiatives that your office is involved with that interact with other federal agencies and the impact of that interaction regarding your constituency. This is a closed event with federal employees only. PLEASE RSVP HERE
This initiative is part of the Atlanta Federal Executive Board’s Leadership Government program. As you may recall, last year was very enlightening for our future executives in federal government to have an opportunity to get to know the congressional staff members from your office. The day was filled with interaction and shared knowledge from agencies and congressional staff members.
Our session will take place on Thursday March 9, 2017 at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, located at 441 Freedom Parkway NE, Atlanta, GA 30307 from 9:00AM until 12:00PM. However, each congressional office will have approximately 25 minutes with 10 minutes included for Q & A from the participating audience. This is an incredible learning experience and I hope you will participate with us. We have also contacted members from other area congressional offices, as well as the GSA Congressional Affairs Office.
The Atlanta Federal Executive Board’s Leadership Government Program, a yearlong program, is now in its 14th year, was developed to build a cadre of seasoned professionals who possess a broad understanding of the role of the Federal Government in society and recognize the value of interagency collaboration in accomplishing Federal initiatives. Also, to provide participants with challenging opportunities for professional and personal growth through assignments, lectures, seminars, reading, teambuilding, and multi-agency and congressional experiences, and to assist participants in developing a broader perspective of managerial competencies particularly relative to interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiating, problem solving, leveraging diversity, partnering, strategic thinking, external awareness, accountability, and continual learning.
Your participation in panel discussion for federal employees would greatly enhance our efforts and we would certainly appreciate your being with us for an hour or so on that day. Please let me know if you or a member of your congressional team are available and will join us on Thursday March 9, 2017. You may call (404) 331-4400 or PLEASE RSVP HERE
